Putting a fortune into the swear jar a little at a time seems to be Mack’s lot in life as he tries to raise his two young daughters by himself and life overwhelms him one day at a time. Hiring his boss’s daughter Frannie as a nanny for his girls seems like a sensible move. When things between the two get a little too personal, the idea looks a little less wise. The attraction between the two adults, not to mention the two-way feelings between Frannie and his daughters complicates life. Mack had resigned himself to not feeling this way again while raising his daughters, and must learn to live again. A wonderful to start to a new series.

We are back to Salishan Cellers Winery for the next Miles brother story. Cooper the brother who finds finds many things “awesome”, and says whatever comes to mind with a refreshing lack of filtering gets the third book. He is hilariously out of control and yet still loveable with his fresh view of the world, but it is his uninhibited dealings with the opposite sex that are going to get him in trouble. Amelia Hale has has been left at the altar by a groom who decides to not only sleep with, but also run off and marry one of her bridesmaids. Now that is what we call a bad day. This sends Amelia to the closest bar for huge helpings of alcoholic memory eraser. Cooper encounters Amelia there, still in her wedding dress, and she upends his world. Let the fun begin.

Be warned, this book’s heroine, Charlie, has been subject to an abusive past which is detailed in the book. She escaped her parents years ago and learned to get by on her looks. Now she is back in town and out for revenge. Ethan Stone is the private investigator she meets in her quest. Ethan lives by a set of rules, the first of which is to not get involved with clients. Thus begins the struggle as each is drawn to the other. Will Ethan’s ethics, or Charlie’s willpower win out in the end? And, what will she learn about her family’s past?

A childhood friends reunite after a second chance romance with feels. Oliver’s immaturity, and  reckless impulsiveness make for a rocky road between the two with bumps galore. Chloe knows Oliver can’t be trusted, or at least she should know based on their history. However denying her feelings is harder than ever. Is the past prologue for them, or can hapless Oliver get it right this time?

Charlotte (Charlie) Winters world is turned upside down when her brother fires her from the family firm. Turning away from what had defined her, she sets to work refurbishing an old Atlanta house. A drunken afternoon on the porch sipping her brother’s prize whiskey (yes, she stole it) with her perpetually shirtless neighbor Lucas leads to an accidental kiss and more. Charlie doesn’t know what she’s gotten into, but in an act of rebellion plunges headlong into a casual relationship with Lucas, which pisses off her brother no end. She is from the wealthy and influential Winters family, and he is from “the other side of the tracks.” When danger rears its ugly head though, Lucas is there to save her. The gap in their social positions has to preclude their relationship going beyond casual, doesn’t it?

We are back to Echo Creek Washington for the next Miles brother story. Leo Miles is back home after an IED explosion almost took his life while on duty overseas. He has locked himself away on his family’s property ashamed of how his burns scare those he encounters. His outlet to cope has become the virtual world of computer gaming where all he shares is his handle of Badger, and his voice over the headset. Hannah known only to Leo by the gaming handle he has given her of Gigz has also escaped the hell of her personal life in the online world. The two enjoy taking on the virtual villains together until Hannah gets the courage to flee her abusive boyfriend. When she and Leo meet in person. she slowly draws Leo out of his shell and into the world beyond the gates of Salishan Cellars.  Things get tense when the twin threats of Hannah’s ex stalking her, and Leo’s quest to bring down his father both come to a head and have to be faced in the real world.

After leaving his family behind and screwing up his life by putting his work ahead of everything else (most importantly his now ex-wife Zoe) Roland Miles is called back to the family wine business. He needs to fix things with the winery, but that means spending time around Zoe who works for the business as the events coordinator. Little by little he sees the errors of his past and soon longs for a second chance. Family tensions boil over and secrets are revealed. From laugh-out-loud moments to steamy scenes this book will leave you wanting more.

Welcome back to the town of Bootleg Springs where the bonfires are big, the softball games rowdy, the town mascot is a chicken, and “bootleg justice” is only a short walk to the lake away. Bowie Bodine has made it crystal clear to Cassidy Tucker that they aren’t going to ever be a thing. Cassidy is his best friends little sister, and besides, he made a promise to keep her in the “friend zone.” It’s a promise he intends to keep, and one she’s intent on making him break. Things get sticky when as a deputy sheriff she’s involved in the investigation involving Bowie’s late father and his father’s connection to Callie Kendall’s disappearance years ago.  We still don’t know what happened to Callie. That will have to wait for a later book. Can he get past his promise, and can she deal with the issues the Callie case brings up?

Jack is a broody broken man dealing with not only the horror of war, but the loss of his wife for which he blames himself. His coping mechanisms involve keeping himself apart from others and avoiding change in the farm he owns with his siblings. When Margot is his hired by the family to do PR work that means change is coming and the battle begins. Margot the socialite from the city is surprised to find just what she needs in her stay in the country. Moving on from loss is difficult, but Margot teaches Jack that you can get up after the fall. Don’t ask me why series gets its name from this the second book.

Heck yeah!! Thank you Ainsley, this story was absolutely AMAZING and then some!! I honestly wish I was able to give this a lot more stars because I feel 5 is just not enough. This had me either on the edge of my seat, crying, yelling or laughing while reading this but what I wasn’t expecting was that. Girl, you kill me!! Now I can’t wait to read Champagne Brunch next since I love all of these characters to pieces!! Thank you babe, you rock!!

Welcome to Bootleg Springs where as you might guess from the name, moonshine is a big thing, but the town is also famous for a disappearance which becomes the thread of this series of books. Who done gone and killed Callie Kendall? Our hero, Devlin, has hit rock bottom in his political career, and high-tailed it off to Bootleg Springs to let the scandal die down. Ending up in the cabin next to Scarlett Bodine, limits his ability to hide from the world. The firecracker that is Scarlett is determined to loosen up the button down politician and drag him into living fully. Emerie Rose, fresh from Oklahoma thinks she’s gotten a steal on renting office space when she moves to New York. Instead, she’s been fleeced by a con artist who rented her Drew Jagger’s office while he was on vacation. Drew the hard-nosed lawyer becomes Emerie’s white knight and allows her to share his space. So begins the tug of war between the soft-hearted psychologist trying to save marriages, and the jaded divorce attorney convinced that matrimony never works because he sees the evidence of it every day. Emerie is the type who writes uplifting little inspirational quotes on her door, and of course, Drew rewrites them to turn them into something provocative and dirty. You will laugh your pants off at times, and not be able to resist the roguish Drew any more than Emerie can.
